This late 1950’s two story clapboard frame home was extensively remodeled and expanded for a young growing family of four. The project scope included a remodeled one car attached garage that was converted into office space for our client who worked from home for part of the week. An addition providing a first floor mudroom, kitchen, and family room with a fireplace provided private space linking the family to a large back yard. Above the expanded first floor, a master bedroom, and bathroom suite was provided. As a means of improving the visual appeal of the home the general aesthetic of the home’s exterior was reconsidered in the spirit of an Arts and Crafts theme with shingle siding, brackets supporting cantilevered canopies, and copper standing seam roofing.
